Families

I view families as their own unique systems, complete with their own structures and communication styles. I believe that any change in one family member, can affect the entire family system and each individual in it. Family counseling takes the focus away from any one individual, and shifts the perspective to see the patterns of the family and what may need change.

Family counseling is effective in addressing many different issues such as relational issues, behavioral issues in children/teens, and families with a member suffering from chronic mental or physical health issues.

family counseling:

  • Learn how families in general function, and how your own family functions
  • Understand how to handle conflict in a different way
  • Learn how to communicate in a more affective and healthy way
  • See strengths that each family member adds to the system
